4 American hostages killed by pirates, US says – Yahoo! News

Jean and Scott Adam with Phillis Macay and Bob Riggle were spreading God’s love in Jesus with their bible giving ministry when they were killed as hostages under Somali pirates … they did not die in vain … as we pray for peace and love in Christ that the whole world may see the light with the death of these modern day martyrs who died spreading Christ’s love as they have shown deep in their hearts their love for others.

In John 15:12-13, Jesus reiterated his greatest commandment to his apostles, “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”

Beyond the hostage drama and the violence that occurred, many of you may want to look at what happened on a different perspective guided by more related verses from the bible.

In Philippians 1:21, Saint Paul writes as he rejoices in God’s words and in his overwhelming faith and love in Jesus, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

Above powerful verses may have inspired Jean and Scott Adam and their two friends, as some of you may want to reflect and internalize in our spirit.

We see violence, hatred, vengeance, obsession with lust and money which spell the lack of love in our midst as many of us get over our emotions and are tempted to sin.

More often we fail to see the light as we prefer to dominate our life with darkness in our mind.  Will not this further push us down to the bottomless pit where there is no return?

Is it not time that we turn to God and pray for justice as we lift everything to Him?  And henceforth, pray with guidance that God’s will be done.

“… fear God and keep His commandments, which is the duty of man,” as we read in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, whence, shall God “bring indeed every deed into judgment, including every hidden things, whether it is good or evil.”

In John 8:31-32, Jesus states, “If you hold to my teaching you are really my disciples; then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,”

And in Chronicles 7:14 it states in God’s words, “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

In Matthew 21:42-43, on the ‘Parable of the Tenants’ Jesus said when asked of what the landlord will do to the wicked tenants, “Have you never read in the scriptures:

‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous is our eyes.

‘Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
